Cider Tour to Kvestad and Siderhuset Ola K

Duration: 10:00 - 14:00

After a good night’s sleep and a delicious breakfast, the journey begins with the hotel's own bus, winding through the lush landscape around the fjord. Along the way, your guide will share captivating stories about the area, while the views provide a stunning introduction to the natural beauty of Hardanger.

The first stop is Kvestad Sideri, located in the picturesque hills below Folgefonna, 220 meters above sea level. Here, the family has been growing apples and producing cider for generations. Today, the farm is run by Ellen and Haakon, their daughters Hilde and Marianne, their partners Andre and Olav Arne, and their cousin Ole Kristian. This dedicated group has earned both praise and awards, including 1808, named "Best Modern Norwegian Cider 2022" by Hanen, and Kvestad Issider, which recently took home the title of "Cider of the Year 2025".

After a tour through the apple orchards and production facilities, the journey continues to Siderhuset Ola K, where you’ll sample a range of local ciders, paired with a light tapas plate. If you find a new favorite, the cider house shop is open for those wanting to take a taste of Hardanger home.
