Day 2: The Fruit and cider route in Ulvik
Start the day with a delicious breakfast in the hotel's restaurant before you make your way towards Ulvik in beautiful Hardanger.
Upon arrival in Ulvik you can start the tour on your own from the Tourist information / centre of Ulvik where you walk along the fjord to the start of Apalvegen. There is a 30-45 minutes walk from the center to the farms - approx. 1300 meters. You then turn left and follow the sign that says "Fruit and Siderruta" and continue up towards the first farm, located about 10 minutes away. See map here.
In this tour we have included one cider tasting with a guided tours at 15:00. The tasting will be held at either of the farms Ulvik Frukt & Cideri, Syse Gard or Hardanger Saft & Siderfabrikk - depending on the day. Before and after tasting you can pay a visit the other farms to see, hear an taste more. The farm shops are open Monday through Saturday from 10:00-17:00.
The Fruit and Cider Route is a collaboration between Hardanger Saft- og Siderfabrikk, Syse Farm, and Ulvik Frukt & Cideri. Yearly, the group hosts festivals in May (Siderslepp; celebrating their ciders) and October (Fruktslepp; celebrating the fruit harvest). All farms have outlets selling cider and other farm produce, such as fresh fruit, meat and apple juice, so we do recommend visiting all three.

Back at the hotel, a good 3 course dinner with local products awaits, before your head finally hits the pillow after an exciting day in Ulvik.
