Day 1: Welcome home

Your stay in Oslo starts with a dash of history. Once you step into our hotels you're immediately met with a warm welcome and tales of why Norway is as it is today. Both of our hotels here in Oslo are located at the very edge of the city, with famous forests as their closest neighbors. During your stay here you can look forward to calm surroundings, culinary delights and an authentic atmosphere.

The hotels you can choose in this package is:

Losby Gods

A country lane winds majestically into the deep forest. In the middle of magnificent nature, and the mystery of the woods, Losby Gods emerges. The manor reveals itself surrounded by a calm, and a harmony you have never experienced before. You have entered the heart of the countryside, where rustic charm meets dark mystique of the forest. Losby Gods a large country estate, steeped in over 160 years of history, elegancy and tradition.

The original property tells the story of 300 years of the ups and downs of the timber trade, while as a large house, Losby dates from the mid-19th century, bringing together the old days and the new in a modern hotel experience.

Both royalty and the upper classes came here to hunt, and the manor was described as a place where guests were treated to extravagant hospitality, a tradition the current hosts seek to continue.

Lysebu

Straight out of a Norwegian fairy-tale, surrounded by unspoiled nature, Lysebu is idyllically situated at the top of Holmenkollen and yet just 20 minutes from the pulsing heart of the city.

Lysebu is Norway’s national gift to Denmark, and was built in 1916 in traditional Norwegian style. It offers outstanding opportunities for enjoying nature and the outdoors but is also an ideal base for city-based experiences.

Lysebu is famous for its excellent cuisine, its well-stocked wine cellar and staff who will do everything they can to make their guests’ stay an enjoyable one. Lysebu is second to none when it comes to quality, comfort and aesthetics. There is a consistent focus on detail throughout, making Lysebu an unforgettable experience.

Day 2: The cultural capital by the fjord

After a good breakfast at the hotel it's time to make your way towards the city center of Oslo. Both hotels are conveniently located close to public transport taking you directly into town, meaning that you can leave your car at the hotel. Did you know that Oslo is ranked as one of the most sustainable destinations in the world? This is partly thanks to their dedication to building a good public transportation, making it easier for you to move around town.

In this package we've included a unique harbour sightseeing cruise operated by our partner, The Fjords. The cruise takes about 1,5 hours, and shows you the unique harbour of Oslo, which is still developing rapidly, as well as a peek at why the Oslofjord is so special. The cruise departs several times each day, and you choose the departure best suited for you while booking the package.

The rest of the day we invite you to explore the city as you wish. Oslo presents a unique selection of things to do, and we've deliberately let the day for you be free. A good tip from us is to check out the Oslo Pass, which gives you free entry and discounts at several attractions, as well as free transportation within the city. When it's time for lunch we recommend you stop by one of our restaurants in the city. How about eating in the old Town Hall? Or perhaps enjoy your lunch with a view at either Frognerseteren, Ekeberg or Grefsenkollen?

After an eventful day in Oslo it's time to find your way back to the hotel for dinner. After dinner you may want to relax in one of the several quiet areas you can find both indoor and outdoors at both hotels.

New adventures ahead...

We invite you to book as many nights as you like here in Oslo. With such a variety of things to explore, Oslo sure is the place to stay for a longer period. Perhaps you want to explore the forests surrounding Oslo? Or how about visiting the Oslo Opera House? Stay for a while and feel like a local.

If you want to explore Norway or the region further we can recommend heading north towards the unique landscape surrounding Mjøsa, Norways largest lake, where we are able to present a unique collection of members such as Hoel Manor, DS "Skibladner" and Atlungstad Brenneri.

Welcome to Norway!
